What wall build-ups and U-values do you achieve?
Download standard SIP wall build-ups, U-values and construction details used on live projects. Thermal performance data is provided in accordance with recognised standards.
Standard panel build-ups, U-values and construction details used on live SIP Build UK projects are available via our SIP Specifications.
These include standard wall and roof finishes, thermal performance, material specifications and system properties.
You can download SIP Standard Construction Details covering:
-
External wall finishes and rainscreen claddings
-
Roof finishes and fixing guidance
-
Thermal properties and U-value tables
-
Airtightness performance
U-values are quoted in accordance with BS EN ISO 6946:1997 and BRE report BR443:2006.
In addition to the U-values achieved by SIP walls and roofs, the closed cell structure of the rigid urethane insulation core does not allow movement of air within the panels. The insulation will not sag or physically deteriorate over time.
Air leakage levels can be as good as 0.08 air changes per hour at normal pressures (approximately 1 m³/hour/m² at 50 Pa), subject to overall build quality. Standard results would be around 3 air changes per hour.
